Sponsor My Ride is a social networking site where cyclists can find like minded people to ride in groups for safety, fitness or enviromental reasons.
Do you live in London, UK, and regularly cycle to and from work? Perhaps you are a cycle courier, making frequent trips? Now you can earn while you burn with Sponsor My Ride's new scheme which offers you the opportunity to make money through peddle power by decking your bike with advertising.
Please register and create a user account, profile and upload videos of you and your bike. It's a great place to meet other cyclists in your area.
HOW IT WORKS
Sponsor My Ride is looking for thousands of cyclist to take part in Skyboards' UK cycle scheme. To be eligible for consideration, you must own a bicycle, and be a minimum of 18 years of age. You must be in current employment and able to provide proof of your home address and work address.
You will be asked to place four stickers approximately 30cms x 3cms on each side of each of your diagonal and vertical central frame. These stickers will contain your sponsor’s logo and website address or their marketing message.
Successful applicants will be paid a fixed rate per mile cycled. Rates are calculated by travel zones:
- 16p per mile cycled in Zone 1
- 14p per mile in Zone 2
- 12p per mile in Zones 3-4
- 10p per mile in Zones 5-6
We are looking to expand the scheme to most cities throughout the UK, to be the first to be considered please register your details on the Sponsor My Ride website.
Heavy duty cyclists such as couriers may be eligible for a special rate. Please inform us of any additional circumstances that you would like us to take into consideration. If you would like to register your interest in the scheme, please register at Sponsor My Ride.
We would also appreciate a photo of you and your bike. Something taken on a mobile phone would be fine. We don't expect a portrait taken by a professional photographer!
