Digital Print
Digital is printed directly on to the polyurethane material and is permanent. It is available on all our balloons but especialy effective on spheroids and blimps.
Digital can only be printed on white, however a colour can be added to some inflatables by alternating white and coloured panels. Visit our photo gallery to see some examples.
Vinyl Print
Vinyl printing is cut by computer, stuck on to the polyurethane and can be removed. It works best on giant ball balloons and blimps where you want to combine vibrant colours. Visit our photo gallery where there are many examples of both methods on printing on all kinds of advertising balloons.
Inflatables are printed on both sides which is a great opportunity for those who want to cut costs. Share your balloon (and any manufacturing, printing and marketing team expenses) with a compatible company by having one side of the balloon each.
Send your company's requirements to sales@skyboards.co.uk and we will match you up with a partner that will compliment your image or marketing message.
Preparing graphics & file formats
Vector graphics (with all fonts converted to curves) work best because they can be resized to any proportions without loss of quality. Typical programs used for vectored artwork are Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw! and QuarkXpress which produce files with the following file extensions: .ai, .eps, .cdr, .pdf.
Rastered grahics will work only for digital printing on white or two-toned inflatables. Rastered art is unsuitable for vinyl graphics and will lose a lot of detail when enlarged. Therefore artwork must be prepared to ACTUAL PRINTED SIZE at 100 dpi. Typical programs used for rastered images include Adobe Photoshop and Paintshop Pro which produce files with the following file extensions: .jpg, .gif, .tif, .psd.
PDF format is one of the most common formats for delivering graphics for printing.
